ABOUT
TRI-COUNTIES SMACNA
Tri-Counties
SMACNA is a trade association composed of firms engaged in the fabrication
and erection of architectural, industrial, and commercial sheet metal
work; heating, ventilating, and air conditioning work and other specialized
businesses related to the sheet metal industry.
To
be considered for membership in Tri-Counties SMACNA, firms must be duly
licensed and registered with the California Contractors State License
Board; signatory to a collective bargaining agreement with Sheet Metal
Workers' International Association Local Union #273; and a contributor
to the Sheet Metal Industry Fund of the Tri-Counties, Inc. Our member
firms employ highly skilled journeymen and apprentice sheet metal workers
who are members of the Sheet Metal Workers' International Association.
Tri-Counties
SMACNA is the local chapter of SMACNA (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning
Contractors' National Association) providing SMACNA's service to our
members in the south central, coastal area of California comprised of
the counties of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura.
Our
goal is to provide an industry wide atmosphere conducive to the profitable
execution of business for our members while they provide the consumer
with the highest quality product at a fair price. By maintaining an
environment of cooperation with our labor partners we are able to achieve
stable labor relations and realistic labor agreements beneficial to
our members, our members' employees and our members' clients.
MISSION STATEMENT
The
mission of Tri-Counties SMACNA is to provide research and education
for the benefit of its members; to promote sound labor/management relations
in the public interest; and to assist the members in providing a safe
and healthy working environment for their employees.
